About my approach as a counsellor
I believe each human being possesses the inner strength to find their
own path to a more fulfilling life, heightened self awareness and a
fuller sense of self worth. I practice an Integrative approach to counselling
calling on Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioural therapy
models thus aiming to bring more clarity, insight and honesty into people's
lives, enabling them to find a more positive an appropriate way forward.
The quality of the counsellor/client relationship is key to bringing
about change. I offer a safe , confidential environment and an open,
non judgemental approach allowing my clients to feel comfortable to
reveal thoughts and feelings, perhaps previously unheard.
It is often through the empathy and understanding offered by a counsellors
that a client is finally able to hear their own voice. Gentle challenge
can further enhance the ability to reflect upon life with a new perspective.
My experience has given me the privilege of witnessing firsthand how
we can and do access our own natural healing process successfully. Thus
aiming to bring more clarity, insight and honesty into people's lives,
enabling them to find a more positive and appropriate way forward.
